Trick or treat! Give me something good to eat!

Many Kansas City area restaurants offer discounts and freebies to entice you to bring the trick-or-treaters in before they go off in search of other treats.

Kansas City on the Cheap is on the lookout for local restaurant specials and other bargains happening for Halloween and the month of October so you can recoup all that money you spent on costumes and candy.

Many of these deals aren’t advertised until the last minute, so you’ll want to check back often. It would be beyond scary to miss any savings.

Some of these deals are only good on Halloween; others are good before and after, so make sure you click the links and read the fine print.

Most of these Halloween deals and freebies are food-related offers, but we’re on the lookout for other items as well.

7-Eleven

7-Eleven is offering 7Rewards and Speedy Rewards loyalty members a buy one, get one free deal on any large pizza on Halloween, October 31.

Ghouls and goblins who want to celebrate early can stop by the nearest location for a $5 large pizza all Halloween weekend long (through November 1).

With a variety of toppings and mouth-watering sauces to satiate every craving at any time of day, 7-Eleven, Speedway and Stripes’ pizzas are the perfect treat for all Halloween festivities. There will be no frights, just delights with delicious flavors like Cheese, Pepperoni, 7-Meat and even Breakfast pizza.

Applebee’s

Head to a local Applebee’s where you can find plenty of Halloween ‘spirits’. Enjoy one of the chain’s spooky sips for just $6. This offer is only available for a limited time.

Choices include:

Dracula’s Juice: a wildberry creation of a Patron Silver margarita and Bacardi Superior daiquiri.
Tipsy Zombie: made with Bacardi Superior, passion fruit, pineapple, cherry, lime and a gummy brain topped with melon liqueur.

Baskin Robbins

Baskin-Robbins is the perfect place to chill out on Halloween.

The iconic ice cream shop offers a discount on the 31st of every month. And, fortunately, Halloween always falls on Oct0ber 31. That means little monsters (and their grown-ups!) can get big scoop of savings on Halloween.

$5 Off Ice Cream Cakes: The Baskin-Robbins shop at 5425 Johnson Drive in Mission, KS is offering $5 off cake purchases of $25+ from October 24 – 31. This deal is only good at the Mission, KS location.

Chili’s

Get a $6 Margarita of the Month – The Fangtastic ‘Rita – available for a limited time at Chili’s. The Fantastic ‘Rita is a mix of Lunazul Blanco Tequila, Cointreau, Monin Blackberry and fresh sour.

You’ll even get a set of black fangs while supplies last.

Chipotle Mexican Grill

Enjoy monster savings at Chipotle Mexican Grill on Halloween night with the popular Boorito special.

Fazoli’s

Carb up for National Breadstick Day (October 29) with a great deal on breadsticks from Fazoli’s.

IHOP

Families will flip over this freebie at IHOP for Halloween.

From October 24 to 31, kids (12 & under) can sink their “fangs” into a Scary Face pancake for FREE with the purchase of an adult entrée — from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Insomnia Cookies

Dressing up in a costume for Halloween is fun. Make it even better by stopping by one of two local Insomnia Cookies stores for a FREE traditional cookie.

Jack in the Box

Jack in the Box is celebrating Halloween with the return of the Monster Taco and a limited-edition shake. Both items are available for a limited time.

This monstrously large version of the chain’s famous Two Tacos are crunchy, topped with melty American cheese, shredded lettuce & taco sauce and have quickly become an October staple for taco lovers. Jack in the Box’s Monster Tacos are priced at 2 for $3 with a purchase and are available at restaurants nationwide, on the Jack app, and via third-party delivery for a limited time.

Krispy Kreme has plenty of specials in October, including special Halloween-themed doughnuts.

Lowe’s National First Responders Discount

For the second year in a row, Lowe’s salutes first responders in our communities.

In honor of National First Responders Day on October 28, Lowe’s will again offer a discount to eligible first responders at Lowe’s stores nationwide and on Lowes.com. McDonald’s

McDonald’s brings a touch nostalgia to Halloween this year with the return of the Halloween Happy Meal, for a limited time.

Papa Murphy’s Pizza

Papa Murphy’s brings back the all-time favorite Jack-O pizza in 2022!

This Halloween tradition begins with dough made fresh in store, in the shape of a pumpkin, which is topped with traditional red sauce and 100 percent whole-milk mozzarella, grated in stores daily. Premium pepperoni is placed into a smiling Jack-O-Lantern face with two olive eyes.

Jack-O pizza is available from Papa Murphy’s through the month of October for $10. Prices may vary slightly in some markets.

While you’re handing out treats for Halloween, make sure one of those knocks at your door is something good for you.

In honor of the spookiest time of the year, Red Lobster is offering FREE delivery on to-go orders placed through RedLobster.com. Orders must be placed October 28 through October 31.

Sonic Drive-In

Sonic Drive-In brings back a Halloween savings favorite – corn dogs for 50 cents.

Soup up your meals at Subway this month.

Autumn is the perfect setting to enjoy a big bowl of hot soup. On weekends in October, Subway is offering a discount on its new line-up of three soups — Homestyle Chicken Noodle Soup, Broccoli Cheddar Soup and Loaded Baked Potato Soup. The soupy savings start Oct. 7.

Taco Bell

Whole Foods

Frozen pizzas are popular and easy for a crowd or by yourself. Whole Foods Markets is offering a great deal just in time for Fall or Halloween parties.

From October 19 to November 1, Whole Foods Markets is offering 35% off on all frozen pizzas. If you’re an Amazon Prime member, you get to enjoy an additional 10% off.

Zaxby’s

Zaxby’s is celebrating Halloween with a special Buy One, Get One “BOO-neless” Wings Meal for customers ordering through the Zaxby’s app. The offer is valid all day long Monday, October 31, while supplies last.

Zaxby’s Boneless Wings Meal features five tender, tasty boneless wings tossed in one of eight different sauces and is served with Texas Toast, crinkle fries and ranch sauce.
