Kansas City Pumpkin Patches, Corn Mazes & Hayrides 2022
It’s time to pull out sweaters and flannels and have some fun at these Kansas City pumpkin patches, corn mazes and hayrides. We’ve done the leg work so your family and friends can enjoy a fall attraction that is close by or one that has something special you’d enjoy.
Carolyn’s Pumpkin Patch

Carolyn’s Pumpkin Patch is a working farm located in Liberty, Missouri, 15 minutes from downtown Kansas City. This family friendly attraction is located right next to the Liberty Corn Maze, known as the largest corn maze in Missouri.
Open: September 17 – October 31, 2022
Hours: Open daily at 10 a.m. except Tuesday and Wednesday. Closes at 6 p.m. Sunday and Monday. Closes at 7 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
Admission: Admission ranges from $16.95 to $30.95 when purchased online. You pay a few more dollars if you buy tickets at the gate. Each ticket includes different activities based on when you’re going and what extras you’re choosing to add. Carolyn’s Country Cousins also offers season passes if you want to go multiple times.
Activities: Carolyn’s Pumpkin Patch offers a u-pick pumpkin patch, train and carousel rides, a petting farm, pumpkin jumping pad, pig races, pumkinator pumpkin launching, playgrounds, kids corn maze and more. Food and beverages are available for purchase along with gifts and bakery items from the country store.

Colonial Gardens Farm Fall Experience

Spend a fall day immersed in a full farm experience enjoying activities at the Colonial Gardens Festival Grounds.
Open: September 17 – October 30, 2022 (excluding October 1-2 for the Farm Fall Festival)

Sales tax is added to all admission sales. Last admission sold at 3 p.m. each day.
Activities: Colonial Gardens Fall Farm Experience includes several activities including a livestock tour, farm cruiser ride, jump pillow, farm playground, photo stations and apples and pumpkin harvesting. Concessions available for purchase.
Crazy Craig’s U-Pick Pumpkins and Mums

Crazy Craig’s is a friendly go-to destination for fall fun and decorations. There is currently some road construction and closures underway in Clay County. See the detour information for suggested routes to Crazy Craig’s this season.

Activities: Crazy Craig’s has a u-pick pumpkin patch (pending crop availability) and play areas for the kids with a straw maze and hay mountain. They also offer plenty of fall decorating items including novelty pumpkins, mums, corn stalks, gourds, straw bales (big and small) and Indian corn.

Faulkner’s Pumpkin Ranch

Faulkner’s Ranch welcomes fall on its 25 acres with the opening a huge pumpkin patch, food, seasonal decor, entertainment and 25+ activities.
Open: September 30 – October 30, 2022
Hours: Closed on Mondays. Play area open from 3 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday; from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Admission: Tickets to Faulkner’s Ranch are limited this year and should be purchased online to guarantee entry. Pricing for 2022 is:
- Tuesday – Thursday: $13.50 plus tax.
- Friday – Sunday: $18.50 plus tax.
- Kids 2 and under are FREE.
Activities: During pumpkin season Faulkner’s Ranch offers a pumpkin patch, wagon rides, barnyard animals, a field maze, several playground features, games and more. Most attractions are included in the price of admission, but a few things like pony rides, the zipline, corn cannon and mechanical bull cost extra.
You can also shop for pumpkins, decorative fall produce and mums. There is no admission charge for the market.

Fun Farm

The Fun Farm has 300+ acres of family activities for all ages and more than 60 varieties of pumpkins to choose from in their pumpkin patch. You can also purchase mums, apples and refreshments.

Hours: The Fun Farm is closed very Tuesday during the fall season. Hours vary by day depending on the time of season.
From September 16-30, 2022 you can visit the Fun Farm:
- Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday: 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
- Friday and Saturday: 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
From October 1-30 you can visit the Fun Farm:
- Monday, Thursday and Sunday: 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
- Wednesday, Friday and Saturday: 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Activities: The following attractions are included in admission for weekdays: hayride to the pumpkin patch, corn mazes, jumbo jumper, children’s village, giant corn pit, Keebler treehouse village, country carousel, duck races, barnyard critters, cow train, stuck in the mud playground, old tyme tire swings, hay rides, barnyard midway games, team roping, bee observatory and kiddie trikes.
If you’re visiting on the weekend you also get to experience pumpkin chunkin’, pig races, live music and entertainment and the fun farm fairy princesses.

Gierenger’s Family Orchard and Berry Farm

Gierenger’s Family Orchard has an extensive u-pick produce operation during the growing season, but they also have a pumpkin patch, corn maze, playground and other attractions and seasonal goodies to purchase during the fall season.
This year’s Gierenger’s corn maze theme is dinosaurs.

Activities: Admission to Gierenger’s Fall Season includes tractor wagon rides, corn maze, kids mini maze, pumpkin jump pad, sunflower fields (when blooming), hay mountain, slides, playground, apple sling shot and more.
There are food trucks offering food for purchase. You can save money by bringing a snacks from home and taking advantage of their shaded picnic tables. Naturally they’ll be selling their pumpkin donuts and cider slushes.

Johnson Farms is a 140-acre working u-pick farm where you can run around and enjoy the fresh air.

You also have access u-pick pumpkins, sunflowers, veggie patch and more. You only pay for what you harvest.

KC Pumpkin Patch

Activities: KC Pumpkin Patch has 50+ farm fun adventures happening this season. Liberty Corn Maze is a family owned business featuring a 50-inch-wide trail cut out of a farmer’s field of corn into an elaborate design. There are eight mazes total – four designed for kids and four elaborate ones with varying degrees of difficulty.
Liberty Corn Maze is conveniently located right next door to Carolyn’s Country Cousin’s Pumpkin Patch for more fall festivities.
