The Lee’s Summit Chamber of Commerce usher in fall with sizzling bratwursts and sounds of oom-pah during the annual Lee’s Summit Oktoberfest Sept. 27-29, 2019 in downtown Lee’s Summit.
Enjoy Kids Street, arts and crafts, German meals, beer and brat tents, the Biergarten, carnival, the Sportzelt, live entertainment, contests, a Rootbiergarten, home brew tasting, German dancers and much more.
Admission is free. There is a cost for select activities.
Home brew competition: Homebrewers will show off their brewing skills this year. Festival attendees can buy a ticket and take part in a tasting event on Saturday from noon to 3 p.m. in the Biergarten. Tasting tickets are $20 in advance, $25 at the festival. Each ticket comes with a souvenir tasting glass.
Grape-stomping: If beer isn’t your thing, you might enjoy watching teams race to stomp the most juice in a period of time. This contest is scheduled for Saturday at 4 p.m.
Oktoberfest Baby Contest: Young ones can get into the competitive spirit with the Oktoberfest baby costume contest on Saturday at 11 a.m.
- Friday: 5 to 11 p.m.
- Saturday: 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.
- Sunday: noon to 4 p.m. (carnival only)
Oktoberfest location and parking
Lee’s Summit Oktoberfest is located in Downtown Lee’s Summit, Missouri between 2nd and 4th streets and Green and Jefferson streets. Free parking is available at the City Hall Parking Garage at 2nd and Green Street.
