Few places are as grand for getting into the holiday spirit as Union Station. Join the Holiday Kickoff Lighting Ceremony on Saturday, Nov. 23, 2019. Admission is FREE.
Besides Kansas City’s largest indoor tree lighting ceremony, attendees can experience family-friendly activities and special performances throughout the day beginning at 10 a.m.
The tree lighting and a performance by Quixotic happen in the early evening. Here’s the full schedule of events.

10 a.m. – 4 p.m.: Kona Ice
10 a.m. – 8 p.m.: Letters to Santa
10 a.m. – 10:45 a.m.: Quite Frankly the Band
11 a.m. – 11:45 a.m.: KC Ballet 2
11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.: Salvation Army Band
12:30 p.m. – 1:15 p.m.: Starlight Stars
1 p.m. – 4 p.m.: Downtown Dazzle (in Grand Hall)
1 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.: Face painters and balloon artists
2 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.: Mrs. Claus Holiday Stories
2 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.: Kansas City Kansas Community Orchestra
3 p.m. – 3:45 p.m.: Dan Riggs Big Band
4 p.m. – 4:45 p.m.: Miller Marley Youth Ballet
5 p.m. – 6 p.m.: O’Riada-Manning Academy of Irish Dancers
6:30 p.m. – 7 p.m.: Holiday Lighting Ceremony Featuring Quixotic
7 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.: Free Mini Train Rides
7 p.m. – 9 p.m.: Holiday Model Rail display

Union Station Location and Parking
Union Station is located at 30 West Pershing Road in Kansas City, Missouri.
Parking is available in two nearby lots and a parking garage. The rate for the holiday kickoff event is $10 per car. You can also ride the KC Streetcar. There’s a stop right out front of Union Station.
