Zona Rosa hosts a winter wonderland in Kansas City this holiday season with family-friendly activities, including photos with Santa, happening during November and December.
Visits and Photos with Santa at Zona Rosa
Meet Santa at Zona Rosa to share your holiday wishes and take photos November 26-December 24.
Online reservations for visits with Santa are recommended, but not required. Reservations do need to be made if you intend to purchase a Santa photo package.
Times for visits and photos with Santa are:
Nov. 26 – Dec. 16:
- Monday – Thursday: 3 to 7 p.m.
- Friday – Saturday: 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. (Santa breaks for reindeer feeding from 3-3:30 p.m.)
- Sunday: Noon to 6 p.m. (Santa breaks for reindeer feeding from 3-3:30 p.m.)
Dec. 17 – 23:
- Daily: 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Santa’s really busy so he takes a break each day from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. and will not be available for visits or photos during that time.
Dec. 24 (Christmas Eve):
- 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Santa will be taking a break to pack his sleigh from 12:30 p.m. to 1 p.m. and will not be available for visits or photos during that time.
Sensory Friendly Visits and Photos with Santa
A calmer, quiet setting is being offered from 11 a.m. to noon on December 5 and 12. These times are designed to provide a more enjoyable session with Santa for kids with sensory sensitivities.
Pet Photos with Santa at Zona Rosa
Pets are part of the family so why shouldn’t you have a framed photo of them with Santa Claus? Furry friends are welcome for photo sessions on:
- Nov. 29: 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.
- Dec. 6: 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.
- Dec. 13: 63p.m. to 7 p.m.
Reservations recommended, but walk-ins are welcome for pet photos with Santa.
Zona Rosa Santa Photo Packages
Packages for photos with Santa are available for purchase starting at $19.95.
Choose from physical prints, digital downloads and holiday accessories like key chains, musical snow globes and lighted frames.
PJ Party with Santa
On December 3, put on PJs and gather at the North Park area of Zona Rosa (south of Dillards) to watch for Santa to visit on his vintage fire truck.
FREE milk, cookies and holiday children’s book will be handed out while supplies last. Visitors can enjoy holiday music, and photo ops by the Christmas tree or Willard the 7-foot reindeer.
The PJ Party with Santa is from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Afterwards, visitors can skate at The Rink with Mrs. Claus and the elves. Anyone skating in the PJs gets a FREE hot chocolate.
Skate with Santa’s Helpers
Santa’s helpers take a break from holiday chores to ice skate at The Rink from 2 to 4 p.m. on the following Sundays:
- Dec. 5
- Dec. 12
- Dec. 19
Zona Rosa Location and Parking

So what does it cost if you’re not one of the first 30?
The website listed didn’t address this either.
I called the Zona Rosa business office to see what I could find out. The woman there said the prices vary depending on size (she thinks single photos start at around $15). As with children’s photos, they also sell packets of photos that include a variety of sizes.
