The Friends of Raytown Parks and Recreation will be hosting a Movie in the Park this Friday, May 18, 2012, at Kenagy Park. Admission is free. The movie is Kung Fu Panda 2.
The movie starts at dusk. There will also be a free Tai Chi demonstration at 8:00 p.m.
You might want to bring a blanket or a chair.

Once a month from May through October, Sprint presents a free Family Fun Day in the Kansas City Power & Light District. The next one is this Saturday, May 19, 2012. The theme is Arts Festival.
This event includes live entertainment by the La La’s, a Paul Mesner puppet show, art activities, drum making, a bounce house, and face painting.
The festival runs from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
The Power & Light District is located across from the Sprint Center in downtown Kansas City, Missouri.

This Friday, May 18, 2012, the Englewood Station Shopping District in Independence is hosting an art walk. Admission is free.
This event, which is held on the third Friday of each month, will showcase works from seven galleries. It includes artist demonstrations, live music, and refreshments.
The art Walk runs from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m.
