The Stilwell Community Organization is hosting a FREE Fourth of July celebration Sunday, July 4.

Attendees can participate in a variety of activities, including a community parade and fireworks display.
Parade participation is FREE except those running for elected office. Everyone else can decorate their bike, golf cart or float and register to be part of the procession.
This year’s parade theme is America the Beautiful.
Stilwell Fourth of July Event Schedule
5 p.m.: Parade Registration. Participants line up at 192nd Street.
6 p.m.: Fourth of July Parade. The parade route is from 192nd Street; South on Metcalf; East on 199th ending at the railroad tracks. This year’s grand Marshall is retired fire chief Jim Francis.
7:30 p.m.: Live Music.
9:15 p.m.: Road Closure. 199th Street between Hwy. 69 and Metcalf Avenue. After the fireworks, 199th Street between Metcalf and Highway 69 will be a two-lane west-bound traffic flow. Those attending will be unable to turn out of Evergy Property and head east, as well as those parked along 199th Street for the display, will be forced to head West to the freeway when departing.
9:30 p.m.: Fireworks Display. Fireworks will launch from the Evergy Service Center located at 19950 Newton Street (69 Highway and 199th Street) in Stilwell, KS. Personal fireworks are not allowed at the Stilwell Fireworks display.
