What Is Parade of Hearts?
Parade of Hearts is a region-wide public art experience that turns the Kansas City area into an open-air gallery. The project brings together artists, communities, and visitors through heart sculptures placed across the metro, encouraging families and art lovers to explore more of the region.
The 2026 season began with the 150 United kickoff event, where visitors could get an early look at the new 6-foot heart sculptures before they started appearing throughout the Heartland.
Now that the opening event has passed, the focus shifts to heart hunting across the metro, using the official map and digital platform to plan visits throughout the season.
Parade of Hearts 2026: New Digital Experience
Updated April 2026: The Parade of Hearts online experience has been redesigned for this year. As the sculptures are installed across the metro over the next couple of weeks, you can begin planning your Heart Hunt using a new all-in-one platform.
What’s new for 2026:
- The previous standalone mobile app has been replaced with a single web-based experience that combines the website and app into one.
- This updated platform is designed to load quickly and work directly in your phone’s browser, with no app download required.
- Creating an account is optional, but it allows you to track check-ins and save your progress as you visit different hearts.
- If you prefer not to sign up, you can still browse maps, locations, and other features without logging in.
Add It to Your Home Screen
- Open the Parade of Hearts website in Safari or Chrome
- Tap your browser’s Share or Menu icon
- Select Add to Home Screen
This creates a shortcut that works similarly to an app, giving you quick access anytime.
Heads up: As hearts are installed across the Kansas City area, locations will continue to be added to the map. During the installation period, the map may not show every heart right away, but it will fill in as placements are completed.

Hi April,
The “Parade of Hearts” official website is not yet updated with the locations. When I went to check, there was a pop-up that said the hearts are currently being placed in their locations April 6 – April 15th.
You may have also seen that there is an app which currently has the 2024 locations (2025 was a “skipped” year with no “Parade of Hearts” taking place). I am hopeful that the app will be updated along with the website listing the locations.
Once the locations are listed, I plan to add a layered map to my post for the locations for the various cities as I am also excited about seeing where all the hearts will be placed.
Thanks so much for reaching out and once locations are listed, I will update my posting, and send you a follow-up email to let you know. – DeAnn Shelby (a fellow Kansas Citian and Free and Cheap Bargain Hunter)
