Free Movies at Central Library

The Kansas City Public Library offers free movie screenings daily in the Durwood Film Vault, an old bank vault that has been converted into a 28-seat movie theater at the Central Library.

Movies are shown at 2 p.m. The doors open at 1:45 p.m., and it is first-come, first-served for seating. You can find the Central Cinema schedule here. Sometimes there is a discussion after the movie.

The Central Library also shows free movies every Friday at 2 p.m. in its 3North Resource Center. You can see the upcoming Film Fridays schedule here.
