On the third Friday of every month, downtown Overland Park holds Local Life, a fun and lively way to explore unique and locally-owned shops and restaurants of downtown Overland Park.
This event is FREE and runs from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Activities vary by month, but generally include live music, food and drink specials, demonstrations, kids’ activities, and more.

Downtown OP Local Life Restaurant and Merchant Specials
Aubrey Vineyards (inside Vinyl Renaissance & Audio) offers FREE wine tastings until 7 p.m. Enjoy bottles of Trail Rider white for $10 all during October.
Brew Lab: Save with happy hour specials from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Specials include $1 off house brews, $4 house cocktails and $5 small plates. Stick around for live music from pianist and vocalist Joel McNulty from 7:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
The Culinary Center of Kansas City will have live music inside along with FREE tastings by Tom’s Town, Bee Nice Gardens and Just Enough Heat.
en·sem·ble: Sangria sipping and shopping.
InterUrban ArtHouse: There’s a FREE reception open to the public to celebrate the presentation of Bits and Pieces, a group of assembled mixed media art.
Drink specials from Maloney’s include $5 seasonal pints and vodka Red Bull. A six-ounce chicken teriyaki sandwich served with fries or chips is available for $8.95.
The Other Place will have their happy hour specials from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., including $5 double Long Island Iced Teas, double Long Beach Tea and double well drinks.
Sacks on Santa Fe: Designer items will be 50% off regular price including those donated by Miriam Garvey. FREE snacks and drinks served while you shop.
Teal Lotus is hosting artist Joanne Mullin for a special show featuring her one-of-a-kind pieces from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m.
The Upper Crust has a special on pie flights – you pick three slices from a menu of six available flavors for $9.
