Everyone needs a home of their own, even the birds.
Kids can build a wren house at a hands-on bird house building workshop at the Overland Park Arboretum and Botanical Gardens. The class is from 1 to 2:30 p.m. on Saturday March 18.
The class is designed for kids ages eight and older and uses hammers and nails. Cost is $15, plus Arboretum admission.
More than one kid can work on a single house together. There must be one adult on hand for each participant, but there is no extra cost for the adult.
