What Is Kansas Cityβs Passport to Adventure?
Kansas Cityβs Passport to Adventure is a free regional program that encourages families, kids, and explorers to discover some of the metroβs best museums, nature centers, gardens, and historic destinations.
The program itself is free to join. Families can pick up a passport booklet at participating sites while supplies last, then visit locations throughout the season to collect stamps and complete hunt questions.

Legler Barn Museum & Depot
When: Saturday, April 4, 2026 | 11:00 AM β 2:00 PM
Where: 14907 W. 87th St. Pkwy., Lenexa, KS 66215
Admission: Free
Start your 2026 passport season at the Legler Barn Museum with hands-on activities, museum exploration, and a simple introduction to how the program works. This is a come-and-go event with free admission and no registration required.
Prairie Oak Nature Center & Historic Oxford Schoolhouse
When: Saturday, April 4, 2026 | 11:00 AM β 2:00 PM
Where: Ironwoods Park, 14701 Mission Road, Leawood, KS 66224
Admission: Free
Families can stop by for nature, science, and history activities, plus games and live animal encounters hosted by participating organizations. Itβs also a great first stop for picking up an official passport booklet.
Lakeside Nature Center
