Get ready to travel around the world this weekend, August 16-18, 2019, at the annual Kansas City Ethnic Enrichment Festival at Swope Park (near the front entrance). Admission is $5 for adults; FREE for kids (12 and under) if accompanied by a paying adult. Parking is FREE as well.
This event features vendors representing more than 60 different cultures selling food, crafts and performing ethnic music and dances. Foodies will delight in the eating selection that will send you into an ethnic food coma after each day of tasting treats like fry bread, empanadas, crepes, fish and chips, spinach pie, fried yucca, meat kabobs, curried chicken and calypso rice, strudel and lots more. Wash any and all of this down with beer (on tap and bottles) or wine that’s available for purchase.
The festival runs from 5 to 10 p.m. on Friday, noon to 10 p.m. on Saturday, and noon to 6 p.m. on Sunday. The daily entertainment schedule is provided below.
Swope Park is located at 6600 Swope Parkway in Kansas City, Missouri.

Thanks for your help
Larry – thanks for letting us know. It’s actually a link on the festival organizer’s site (eeckc.org) that isn’t working. I sent them a message to let them know. For now, we’ve removed that link from our post. However, if you go to the their Facebook page and scroll down it looks like there is a post from Aug. 10 that has at least a partial menu. We’ll keep checking back with the festival’s website and if the menu link there is corrected, we’ll put it back into our post. Thanks for reading Kansas City on the Cheap!
