
Get ready to travel around the world August 21-23, 2026, at the annual Kansas City Ethnic Enrichment Festival at Swope Park (near the front entrance). Hours for this local festival are:
- Friday, August 21: 6 to 10 p.m.
- Saturday, August 22: Noon to 10 p.m.
- Sunday, August 23: Noon to 6 p.m.
This event features vendors representing more than 60 different cultures selling food, crafts and performing ethnic music and dances.
Foodies can delight in the eating selection that will send you into an ethnic food coma after each day of tasting treats like fry bread, empanadas, crepes, fish and chips, spinach pie, fried yucca, meat kabobs, curried chicken and calypso rice, strudel and lots more. Wash any and all of this down with beer (on tap and bottles) or wine that’s available for purchase.

Larry – thanks for letting us know. It’s actually a link on the festival organizer’s site (eeckc.org) that isn’t working. I sent them a message to let them know. For now, we’ve removed that link from our post. However, if you go to the their Facebook page and scroll down it looks like there is a post from Aug. 10 that has at least a partial menu. We’ll keep checking back with the festival’s website and if the menu link there is corrected, we’ll put it back into our post. Thanks for reading Kansas City on the Cheap!
