Every 3rd Friday May through September, the Central Branch of the Kansas City Public Library is showing a movie from its Off the Wall Film Series on the library’s rooftop terrace.
Admission is FREE. FREE popcorn is provided, and locally brewed beer is made available.
The series presents a batch of space -themed adventures. The schedule is:
- June 21: Coneheads
- July 19: Galaxy Quest
- Aug. 16: Mars Attacks
- Sept. 20: Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse
Space is limited so you need to RSVP online or by calling 816-701-3407.
Doors open at 8 p.m. The Central Library actually closes at 5 p.m. but doors will reopen for moviegoers. Screenings start at dusk (approximately 8:45 p.m.). In case of bad weather, you’ll be moved inside to watch the movie.
You can bring along blankets, folding chairs as well as your own food and non-alcoholic beverages. Please skip the glass containers.
The Central Library is the main library of the Kansas City Public Library system and is located at 14 W 10th St, Kansas City, MO.
Parking is available in the Library District parking garage at 10th and Baltimore. Bring your parking ticket inside for validation. Don’t forget you can take the KC Streetcar to the Library stop at 9th and Main.
