The City of Leawood is holding its annual July 4th Celebration in City Park from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday, July 4, 2026.

This year, Leawood is bringing back its Leawood Independence Day Parade, which will start at 10 a.m. along Tomahawk Creek Parkway. There will be DJs along the route, and the emcee will be John Holt of Fox 4 News in Kansas City.
The Celebration in the Park begins at 6 p.m., with live music, kids’ activities, food and beverages from vendors and fireworks.

Parade • 10 am
Leawood Aquatic Center Open • 12 to 5 pm (Regular admission fees apply).
Kids Activities, Carnival Rides and Entertainment • 6 to 9 pm
Food Vendors • 6-9:30 pm
Live music from Flashback • 6 pm
Fireworks • 9:45 pm (approximately). You can sync the display to music with the free Enjoy the fireworks show synchronized to music with the free Pyrocast app. Enter show code 9DCQ before the show starts.
Location, Parking & Transportation
City Park is located at 10601 Lee Boulevard, Leawood, KS.
City Park is closed to all vehicles on July 4.
Park and Shuttle: Beginning at noon, FREE shuttle buses will be running from the parking lots of the American Academy of Family Physicians (11400 Tomahawk Creek Parkway) and Leawood City Hall (4800 Town Center Drive).
Rideshare: 105th and Lee Blvd. is the designated dropoff and pickup site.
