Why should the tree be the only thing getting lit this year?
The people that brought Kansas City Apparition, a Halloween pop-up bar aptly referred to as a “SpookEasy”, are delivering more seasonal shenanigans in the Northland with Better Watch Out, a Christmas-themed pop-up bar.
There’s no cover charge or reservations needed. The menu includes fine tasting, misfit cocktails created by craftsmen from local watering holes in North Kansas City.
If that doesn’t put you on the jolly side of the nuthouse, this deal will. Kansas City on the Cheap readers can give their servers the code “MISFIT” and receive $3 off one cocktail during their visit.
Better Watch Out is located at 406 Armour Road in Kansas City, MO. The wicked winter wonderland is scheduled to be open from 6 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. on the following days.
- Nov. 27, 28, 29 and 30, 2019
- Dec. 5, 6, 7, 13, 14, 20, 21, 22, 23, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30 and 31
Better Watch Out Special Events
While any night at Better Watch Out should chase away the humbugs, there are a few special events planned during the season that should raise your spirits.
Nov. 27 Grand Opening: Ready, set, celebrate! Better Watch Out is hosting a grand opening party Wednesday, Nov. 27 from 6 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. There’s no cover charge to attend, but registration is requested so they can plan.
Dec. 5 Krampusnacht: A variety of Krampus-themed drinks will be served in honor of St. Nicholas’ scary counterpart. Partner Screenland Armour will be screening the 2015 Krampus Movie and there’s a Krampus Costume contest at Better Watch Out at 10 p.m. Again, it’s a FREE event, but go ahead and sign up and show your interest. It’s the only nice thing you’ll have to do all year. The fun starts at 6 p.m.
Dec. 21 Photos with Bad Santa: Come take photos with Santa for FREE. Anyone who wears a Santa outfit to the bar gets 10% off their total tab!
Dec. 31 New Year’s Eve Party: Count down the clock on Better Watch Out’s last night of the year. The party starts at 6 p.m.
Better Watch Out is available for rent on the days it is not operating as a bar serving vodka, whiskey, ice and everything nice. So, if you think having your holiday party here is better than opening white elephant gifts in cubicle land, stop by and talk to the operators.
