Worlds of Fun, one of Kansas City’s favorite family fun attractions, has announced it will reopen June 22 for season pass holders. Sales for daily tickets will begin sometime in early July.
An opening date for Oceans of Fun hasn’t been determined. We’ll share more park updates as soon as they’re announced so be sure to check back.
The park has taken a lot of steps to ensure guests and employees can be healthy and safe while having fun at the park. Here is what you can expect.
Worlds of Fun Opening 2020
Planning Your Visit to Worlds of Fun
Schedule Your Visit: Guests need to schedule their park visit in advance. This can be done through the Worlds of Fun website or mobile app. At least one member of the group must have the app on their phone. You’ll get an email confirmation that is tied to your Worlds of Fun season pass. All tickets must be purchased in advance. Here are some ways you can save on tickets to Worlds of Fun.
It’s recommended you purchase a parking pass online in advance so you can avoid paying at the toll booth.
Complete a Pre-Entry Health Assessment: Each group needs to complete an online pre-entry health assessment the day before their visit. This is delivered via the mobile app (hence, why at least one person in your group must have the app on their phone). A new assessment needs to completed each time you visit the park.
What You Should Bring to the Park: Everyone in a group will need to show their Worlds of Fun season pass or ticket to get into the park. Every guest needs a face mask.
When You Get to Worlds of Fun
Arriving: Guests are encouraged to arrive at the time of their reservation. Those arriving early are asked to stay in their cars until their time arrives. Those arriving later than their reservation will still be let into the park.
Parking: Those who purchased parking in advance you can just show proof of payment. If not, guests can pay by debit, credit or other cashless payment. Reservations for the day will also be reconfirmed. Guests are asked to put face masks on once they get out of their car.
Entering the Park: Guests go through a tent where temperatures are taken. There are touchless turnstiles where guests scan their season pass or ticket. Once guests are in the park, they can stay until closing time. Anyone needing to exit and re-enter the park (on the same day) can get a re-entry voucher at the exit. Hand stamps aren’t being used. Upon returning, guests will need to have their temperature checked again.
When You’re Inside the Park
In the Park: Once inside, guests are always asked to wear their masks, keep an appropriate distance from others, take advantage of the sanitization stations throughout the park and use contactless payment options. The Worlds of Fun mobile app is a good way to keep in the know and find what you need while you’re in the park.
Rides: Some rides don’t allow for adequate spacing and will be closed. All open rides will be sanitized frequently.
Games, Shops and Merchandise: Indoor entertainment and gaming locations are closed. For those that are open, contactless payment is encouraged and guests are reminded to space out and keep their masks on.
Dining: Some tables have been removed to allow for more spacing. Disposable products, including pre-wrapped utensils, will be used in all locations.
Restrooms: Frequent sanitizing will be done to all restrooms.
