Herd into the Kansas City Zoo Aug. 10-11, 2019 for kid-friendly fun and learning as part of World Elephant Day. These activities are FREE as part of your paid zoo admission.
From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. hands-on activities and crafts will be happening in the zoo lobby. Kids will get special trading cards of the zoo’s seven elephants and play games testing their knowledge about the world of elephants.

Fun fact: According to the zoo’s website, the African elephant is the largest living land mammal, with the largest recorded individual reaching a massive 12 feet tall at the shoulder and weighing an impressive twenty thousand pounds.
