But after Halloween passes, those pumpkins can become decaying embarrassments just before your Thanksgiving get-together. Besides, by then, we’re ready to pull out Christmas decor. Compost Collective KC’s annual Pumpkin Smash Party is a free, family-friendly event on Saturday, November 9, 2024, from 12 PM to 4 PM at the Juniper Gardens Training Farm in KCK. If you’re wondering what to do with your pumpkins after Halloween, divert them from landfills and turn them into nutrient-rich compost!
