Weekend Swap & Shop at Boulevard Drive-In

Boulevard Drive-In is one of Kansas City’s few operating drive-in move theatres and plays host to a Swap & Shop gathering every weekend. 

Bargain buyers and sellers can visit Boulevard Drive-In every Saturday and Sunday (rain or shine but closes for snow) for the Swap & Shop. 

The event is open from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Shoppers pay $2 to enter, kids 11 and under are FREE. Bring cash and exact change.

Vendor stalls are available for $20 per day.

History of the Boulevard Drive-In Swap & Shop

According to their website, the Swap & Shop was started in June 1975. It gained a lot of attention in 1981 when the radio station, 61 County, sponsored a free Swap & Shop at the Drive In hosted by Jim Tyler and David Lawrence.

This event is credited with putting the Swap & Shop on the map.
