On Sunday, June 17, 2012, the Kansas City Museum is hosting a Ward Parkway History Walk and Talk Tour. Tickets are $5 each or $15 for a group of four. Advanced registration is required (816) 483-8300.
This event, which is open to people ages 5 and up, will include a walk through the historic Columbus Park and Ward Parkway neighborhoods. You’ll get to see the homes of some of Kansas City’s rich and famous, including the French provincial mansion of Kansas City political boss Tom Pendergast.
The tour will start at 2:00 p.m. at the Carriage Club at 55th and Ward Parkway.
