KC Northern Halloween Train and Party

The annual KC Halloween Train, hosted by the Kansas City Northern Miniature Railroad and Susie Q’s Coffee, will offer rides from Frank Vaydik Line Creek Park on Saturday, October 31, 2026.

The miniature train will run from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Rides are $2 per single lap or $15 for a 10-ride pass.

The train rides will be part of a day-long Halloween party. Also on the agenda are these other activities:

Trunk or Treat Fundraiser (10 a.m. to 2 p.m.) for the Clay Platte Montessori & Farm School KC’s PTO. Entry is $5 per child, with proceeds benefiting the school.
Wood Carving Demonstration (10 a.m. to 2 p.m.): Master sculptor Steven Higgins will create wood art live.
Costume Contests (Starts at 1 p.m. ): Show off your best look in the human categories to win a 10-ride train pass. There also will be a pet costume contest.
Food & Treats: Susie Q’s will be serving coffee, “dirty sodas” and croffles (croissant-waffles).

The train operates from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays from May through October.
