Kids in Kansas City can learn to make fun Valentine’s Day treats at HyVee’s Kids in the Kitchen cooking class on Saturday, Feb. 8.
Sponsored by Shawnee Parks and Recreation and the Shawnee HyVee, this is a hands-on cooking class appropriate for kids ages 4-9. Kids like to be involved in activities with adults and research shows they are more likely to try new foods if they help prepare snacks and meals.
The Valentine’s Day Kids in the Kitchen session is being held from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the Shawnee HyVee store at 13550 W 63rd Street. The class is $10 per kid and a parent or caregiver must come along. Pre-registration is required and can be done online.
