There’s no better way to celebrate a 50th anniversary than with friends and food.
The Shawnee Mission School District Friends & Food festival is open to the community and acknowledges half a century of educational achievements.
Friends & Food takes place from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 22 at the Center for Academic Achievement (8200 West 71st Street, Overland Park, KS).
Tickets are $10 per person. Kids 10 and under are FREE.
The Friends & Food celebration includes student performances, artwork displays and food representing decades of the past 50 years will be prepared by alumni guest chefs. Attendees will also be given tours of the center and learn more about the school district’s signature programs, including: Animation and Game Design, Biotechnology, Culinary Arts and Hospitality, Engineering-Project Lead the Way, and Medical Health Science.
