The annual Big Shoal Farm Sunflower Field Festival is returning to the historic Atkins-Johnson Farm and Museum in Gladstone, offering a day of beautiful blooms, family activities and free community fun.

What to Expect
Sunflowers & Photo-Ops
The star of the show is the seven-acre field of blooming sunflowers. It is completely free to wander through the rows, snap as many photos as you like, and soak in the views. If you want to take the magic home, you can cut your own fresh sunflower stems directly from the field.
Free Kids’ Fun & Games
The festival features free children’s crafts and games. If your kids want more action, you can upgrade their day with a $10 wristband for access to the dedicated Kids’ Zone.
Local Food & Shopping
Food vendors will be serving up tasty treats all day, including refreshing drinks from crowd-favorite Moore Lemonade. Between bites, browse the Artist Fair, packed with handmade goods and crafts.
Step Back in Time
While you are there, take advantage of the free entry to the Atkins-Johnson Museum. Check out their beautiful historic exhibits, including the current feature, “Lace, Laugh, Love: Wedding History in Missouri.”
