Once a month from May through October, Sprint presents a free Family Fun Day in the Kansas City Power & Light District. The next one is this Saturday, June 16, 2012. The theme is Summer Sports and Fun.
This event includes live entertainment by the Okee Dokee Brothers, games and activities (basketball, baseball, soccer, miniature golf, and rock climbing), and photo ops with Sluggerrr, KC Wolf, and Blue. Kids are encouraged to wear their favorite teams’ colors or jerseys. The first 500 kids will get a free Sprint Family Fun Days t-shirt.
The festival runs from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. There will also be a Royals Watch Party (vs. St. Louis) at KC Live at 12:15 p.m.
The Summer Sports and Fun Fest will take place at 14th and Walnut, in the Power & Light District in downtown Kansas City, Missouri.
