Fairy Princess event at the Museum of Kansas City

The Museum of Kansas City is bringing back its Fairy Princess event this year.

The Fairy Princess was a Kansas City tradition from 1935 through the early 1970s at Kline’s department store.

The museum revived the tradition in 1987.

Tickets go on sale for this year’s event on Thursday, November 5, 2026.

Advance timed tickets are required for the event, which will be December 10-13, 2026. You can get tickets here. No walk-up tickets will be available.

Admission is $15 per child. Adults do not require tickets, and each child can be accompanied by up to four adults. The experience includes:

• One gift.
• One sweet treat.
• One printed keepsake photo in a white frame.
• Access to an online gallery to purchase additional photos.
• 20% discount for the museum’s Wisteria Boutique.
