The family-friendly Lenexa Spinach Festival is packed with food, entertainment, crafts and activities.
This annual fall festival is happening from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, September 10 at Sar-Ko-Par Trails Park.
Admission is FREE.
Expect around 50 vendors to be on-site.

The Lenexa Spinach Festival celebrates Lenexa’s history as the the Spinach Capital of the World during the 1930s.

Little sweet peas can enjoy plenty of fun at the Lenexa Spinach Festival.
9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.: Rock painting, inflatables, pedicab rides
9 a.m. to 4 p.m.: Face painting and balloon twisting
2 p.m.: Rock skipping contest
Special Activities
9 a.m. to noon: Spinach cooking demonstrations
11 a.m.: World’s Largest Spinach Salad served (Lenexa Historical Society at Food Court)
12:30 to 1:30 p.m.: Spinach recipe contest entries due
2 p.m.: Spinach Recipe Contest judging — samples available following judging (around 3-3:30 p.m.)
Lenexa Spinach Festival Location & Parking
Sar-Ko-Par Trails Park is located at 87th Street and Lackman Road.
Spots are limited at the park. Free satellite parking is available at:
- Central Church of the Nazarene, 12600 W. 87th St. Pkwy.
- Lenexa Place Business Park, southeast corner of 95th Street and Lackman Road.
Free shuttles run from these lots approximately every 10 minutes from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
