Unique and unusual entertainers fill the streets of downtown Lawrence Sept. 4-7, 2020 during the 13th annual Lawrence Busker Festival. Admission is FREE.
Lest you think we are being judgmental or unkind, the festival’s web site describes this event as a weird weekend and one of the largest gathering of talented “freaks, geeks, artists and musicians around.” Sounds like a ringing endorsement for anyone wanting to shake things up over Memorial Day Weekend!
This is four days of magicians, jugglers, comedians, acrobats, musicians, mimes, fire dancers, a strongwoman, puppets, pogo stunts and more. There will also be a Busker Ball on Thursday, May 21. Tickets to the Ball are $5. During the Busker Ball, you can expect to see the biggest and best acts of the festival all on the big stage. Afterwards, you can join the entertainers for some snacks and drinks. Hours are from 7:30 to 9 p.m.
