FREE Admission, parking and more for Teacher Appreciation Weekend at Science City

Happy back-to-school season to all of our awesome, hard-working teachers out there. Science City invites all educators to their Teacher Appreciation Weekend on Saturday, 8, and Sunday, Aug. 9, 2026.

This once-a-year-event is free and gives educators a chance to explore Science City. Teachers can also get up to three family members in for free as well.  Additional tickets can be purchased at the discounted group rate of $11. 

While there is no cost, teachers must register and indicate the number of family members joining them. Get signed up here.

 Teachers’ free admission on Teachers Appreciation Weekend also includes:

• One free ticket to the exhibit “The Berlin Wall: A World Divided.” Additional tickets can be purchased at the group rate of $11 per person.
• Discounted rate of $4.40 for shows at The Arvin Gottleib Planetarium. Those tickets can be purchased at the check-in desk the day of your visit.

Hours

Saturday: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Sunday: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Science City is located inside Union Station at 30 West Pershing Road in Kansas City, Missouri.
