Downtown Shawnee transforms into a festive fall frenzy Saturday, October 2 during the 16th Annual Scarecrow Festival.
Admission is FREE for this family-friendly event at Shawnee City Hall from 9 a.m. to noon.
Welcome the season with scarecrow making, pumpkin decorating and the Farmers Market. Craft supplies and decorations are provided FREE of charge.
Be sure to check out the festive displays along Johnson Drive and in front of City Hall.
Scarecrow Festival Baking Contest
There’s also a baking contest with cash prizes. Categories include:
- Pumpkin pie
- Fruit pie
- Pumpkin bread
Samples of tasty entries will be available for purchase at the end of the contest.
