Kansas City on the Cheap has a list of local restaurants open for dine-in or takeout on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day. Follow the links and read carefully. Some of the to-go options have ordering deadlines, many of the dine-in restaurants will require or recommend reservations. Keep in mind, local health and safety regulations require some places to close their dine-in services at 10 p.m. but carry out and delivery can continue later.
We’ve worked hard to get everything correct, but we always recommend that you double check hours, promotions, etc. This is especially important for chain restaurants as many are owned and operated locally by franchisees.
Some of these New Year dining options are outside our usual free and cheap realm, but we’ve included them because many people like to go all out for the holidays.
BONUS TIP: Many of these restaurants are offering holiday gift card bonuses through Dec. 31, 2020. If you’re stopping in to eat or pick up an order, why not get a gift card for an upcoming birthday or other occasion while pocketing the bonus offer for yourself!
