As of November 8, 2023, Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library will have a Missouri branch!

She’s a bombshell, a diva, one of the greatest songwriters of the century, and she has a heart of gold. Dolly Parton is known for many things; for me, Steel Magnolias is at the top. But what a lot of people may not realize is that Dolly is so much more than greatest hits, amazing movies, big hair, and sassy style. She’s also a philanthropist who is making a real difference in the field of children’s literacy. Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library is a global program that mails families with children ages 0-5 high-quality, age-appropriate books for FREE. In 2022, the country music superstar’s incredible literacy program mailed out 2 million books a month! And now Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library has arrived in Missouri!
To participate in the program, families must register here beginning Wednesday, November 8.
Books are chosen for Dolly’s Imagination Library by select childhood literary experts who make up the Blue Ribbon Book Selection Committee and consider hundreds of books a year for potential inclusion.
