The 2019 Kansas City Irish Fest is this Labor Day Weekend, August 30-September 1, 2019, in Crown Center Square. Scroll down for the latest details for the entertainment schedule.
Adult tickets are $10-$12 if you purchase your tickets in advance by Aug. 25. There’s a small window from Aug. 26-29 when they range from $12-$15. On-site they are $15 on Friday and $18 for Saturday or Sunday. Kids ages 3-12 are $7.
If you’re planning to make a weekend of it, you can buy a weekend pass for $35. You can only get this pass online and you need to buy it by Aug. 29. There’s a small convenience fee for buying tickets online, but you’ll still save a few bucks as opposed to buying them at the gate.
If you’re willing to spend more, there are a variety of VIP packages that come with extra perks like an Irish breakfast, hotel accommodations or a comedy show.
Bring a blanket, lawn chair and small umbrella. Pets and outside food or beverages can’t come in with you.
Gates are open:
- Friday from 5 to 11 p.m
- Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
- Sunday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
This festival features rock and traditional Irish bands on eight stages, a culture tent & stage for music and dance performances, demonstrations and readings, a children’s stage, and a comedy stage for big laughs. You’ll also find exhibits, genealogy, food vendors, contests, raffles, beer and whiskey tastings.
There’s even a mass (yes, as in church) being held at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday at the Miller Lite stage. Bleachers and chairs are provided. Coffee will be provided (you may need it) and tickets are available for an Irish breakfast served immediately following.
Four stages will feature various acts on Friday from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. On Saturday and Sunday, there will be five stages with acts playing from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Of special note are performances by Gaelic Storm, The High Kings, Byrne and Kelly and the Red Hot Chilli Pipers.
