Kansas City Royals 2022 Season Tailgating
Tailgating is a fun (and cheaper) way to start off a Kansas City Royals game. You don’t get quite the same crowd as you do next door at Arrowhead stadium but there are plenty of people enjoying pre-game festivities in the parking lot of Kauffman Stadium.
Keep the following in mind when tailgating for a Royals game.
Space: You need to keep your tailgating activities in front of or behind your vehicle. You can’t take up a separate parking space (even if you paid for an extra one) and you need to make sure you aren’t blocking traffic.
Time: You can’t tailgate the entire game. You’ll need to go into the ballpark by the start of the second inning. You can hang out after the game for about an hour at which time the parking lot closes.
Food and Drink: Grills are allowed. So is alcohol if you’re of age. Don’t overdo it. If you’re drunk, you won’t be let into the stadium even if you’ve already bought a ticket. Regardless, you won’t be able to bring any alcohol into the stadium with you.
