Winter Magic is a drive-thru Christmas lights event in Downtown Kansas City.
The festive display runs nightly through December 31, 2023. Open nightly from 6 PM.
How Winter Magic Works
Buy tickets: Purchase Winter Magic tickets online in advance (one per carload), choosing the day and time you would like to visit. Offering tickets based on time slots allows you to avoid the lines.

- Limo or commercial van: $40
- Commercial bus: $55
Cruise-In: On the day of your ticket, cruise Oakwood Drive in Swope Park, which has been transformed into a mile-long modern holiday light experience. You’ll enjoy nine themed areas and drive through the longest animated light tunnel in the Midwest.
Be Festive: Wear pajamas or bring along hot chocolate and cookies to make the evening extra special. Vendors will sell Old-fashioned Kettle Corn, Cinnamon Popcorn, Cheese Popcorn, Hot Chocolate, Warm Apple Cider, and more on Fridays, Saturdays, and other select nights.
Stay Safe and Healthy: Everyone must remain in their cars while enjoying the drive-through experience. Photos must be taken from inside your car.
Feel Good: Proceeds benefit KC Parks Summer Camp Scholarship Fund – making sure local children have access to summer learning and fun.
