The 31st annual Weston Applefest will take place in downtown Weston Saturday, Oct. 5 and Sunday, Oct. 6. Admission is $1 for adults. Kids under 15 are free.
Festival hours are from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
Come early to enjoy the hometown parade featuring antique tractors classic cars, fire trucks and community groups. Booths will line the streets of downtown Weston and many of the unique shops and restaurants will be open. Kids can enjoy pony rides, face painting, pumpkin painting, pressing apples into cider and other activities on both days.
Get into the spirit of the weekend watching apple butter being made over an open fire. Don’t forget to take a jar home with you. Tasty treats of apple dumplings, apple pies, cookies and more will be available for purchase.
No traffic or public parking will be allowed in downtown Weston during Apple fest. Parking is available at Snow Creek Ski Area, and the Iatan Power Plant/KCPL Ball Field. Free shuttle buses will run back and forth.
