The country’s largest outdoor community theatre is right here in Kansas City. Celebrating its 57th season, Theatre in the Park has two more outdoor shows and two indoor shows left in the 2026 season.
Anytime Tickets that you can use for any 2026 outdoor show are $12 for adults; $10.80 for seniors 60 and older; $7 for kids ages 4-10; and FREE for kids 3 and under (who do not need a ticket). Reserved chair seats are $20 per chair. You can buy Anytime Tickets online or at the Theatre in the Park box office.
Looking for an even better bargain? On Thursdays, Theatre in the Park offers 20% off Anytime Tickets. To get the extra savings you must buy your ticket at the box office, and you have to see the show that Thursday evening.
Tickets for indoor shows are $20; $18 for seniors (60+); and $18 for kids (4-10). Matinees are 15 % off. Indoor show tickets can be purchased online or in person at the Johnson County Arts & Heritage Center located at 8788 Metcalf in Overland Park, Kansas.

Outdoor Shows
- July 24 through August 1: How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying
- August 14-22: The Hunchback of Notre Dame
All outdoor shows are performed at the Theatre in the Park amphitheater located in Shawnee Mission Park with a separate entrance at 7710 Renner Road (just north of I-435 and 87th Street). Parking is free although you can guarantee yourself a shorter walk by purchasing a reserved parking pass online for $5.
All outdoor shows start at 8 p.m. Make sure you bring a blanket or low-sitting lawn chairs unless you have reserved seats. Concessions are sold at the park, but you’re allowed to bring your own snacks in with you.
There on no shows on Monday or Tuesday.
Indoor Shows
October 3-18: Dracula
December 5-23: Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer
All indoors shows are performed at the Johnson County Arts & Heritage Center located at 8788 Metcalf in Overland Park, Kansas.
Shows start at 8 p.m. There are no shows on Monday or Tuesday.
