This Friday and Saturday, June 6-7, 2014, the Sugar Creek Slavic Festival will take place on the Mike Onka Memorial Building Grounds. Admission is $3 for adults; free for kids 12 and under.
This event includes live music (Grammy award winner Brave Combo is headlining), a Miss Czech Slovak pageant, a Kielbasa King contest, ethnic foods, a children’s costume parade, and more.
Hours are from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Friday and from 3:30 to 9:00 p.m. on Saturday.
The Mike Onka Memorial Building is located at 11520 East Putnam in Independence, Missouri.
