Once again, Starbucks is making summer afternoons a little cooler with its popular Treat Receipt promo. From July 27 to Aug. 9, 2015, when you make a purchase in the morning (anytime before 2 p.m.) and bring the receipt back the same day after 2 p.m., get any Grande cold beverage for just $2.50. (My Starbucks Rewards members get an extra week. For them, the promo runs through Aug. 16.) Remember, you do not have to redeem your receipt at the same location at which you made the morning purchase — any participating location will honor the receipt.
For the budget-conscious, there’s no minimum purchase requirement for the morning receipt, so consider buying a petite vanilla scone for $1.25 or banana for $1 to keep your costs down. If you’re buying a morning round of coffee for the office (or, at least, buying more than one menu item), pay for each item separately. Then, you’ll have more “treat receipts” to share with friends and family. Or, maybe, you can treat yourself to two bargain beverages — one in the early afternoon and one late at night.
