This weekend, April 21-22, 2017, the Kansas City Zoo is holding a Party for the Planet Earth Day event. Receive $3 off admission when you donate your old cell phones, tablets, mp3s, and all accessories to be recycled. All activities are FREE with paid zoo admission.
Earth Day activities include making native plant seed balls to attract pollinators to your garden, exploring a puppet exhibition by KCAI Foundation Students, checking out KCP&L’s electric vehicles, and various fun and educational activities presented by Little Blue Watershed Coalition and The ReCycle Cycle.
If you plan on a planting thriving gardens and flower beds this year, don’t miss the Zoo Manoo sale from 8 to 11:30 am on Saturday.
This event runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. both days.
