Martin City Brewing Company (MCBC) is a locally owned craft brewery that wants us to feel joy, so they offer late afternoon and reverse happy hours at all of their locations, including the newest one in Lee’s Summit, MO.
Drink specials vary slightly by location, but you can expect them to offer cheaper buys on pints, well drinks, house wine and sangria.
Select happy hour appetizers at all locations are priced at $5 each so you can get some munchies to go with your beverages. The choices varies a bit by location. If you find one you like, you may need to pick a second favorite if you’re imbibing at a different location. We recommend the stuffed garlic cheese bread and pickled onion straws. The happy hour appetizers are sized smaller than what’s offered on the lunch or dinner menu, but for $5, you can get more than one and still be full.
All their locations offer live music on varying days (usually around the weekend). There is no cover charge.

The happy hour schedule varies by location and may change without notice. If you’re set on bar bargains, confirm before you belly up.
- Reverse happy hour: all locations offer happy hour specials from 9 p.m. to close
- Weekday happy hour: all locations offer happy hour Monday through Thursday from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
- Friday happy hour: the two locations Martin City locations include Friday from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
- All day Sunday happy hour: both Martin City locations also offer happy hour specials all day on Sunday. Yes, all day. Cheers.

MCBC Original Gastro Pub in Martin City
500 E. 135th Street, Kansas City, MO
This is the original location that is located right across the street from the brewery and tap room. They’ve got a decent amount of patio seating, live music on weekends and, apparently breakfast.
MCBC Pizza & Taproom in Martin City
410 E. 135th Street, Kansas City, MO
This location is connected to the brewery. You can enjoy patio seating, live music on the weekends and they offer beer to go, just not the happy hour specials. You must stick around to enjoy those in person.
MCBC Pizza & Taproom @ Lee’s Summit
354 SW Blue Pkwy, Lee’s Summit, MO
This is the brewery’s newest location. We haven’t had a chance to check it out personally, but they are promising the same great beer, food, service and an exclusive cocktail.
MCBC Pizza & Taproom @ Mission Farms
4000 Indian Creek Pkwy, Overland Park, KS
This is the newest location. They have a small amount of patio seating so come early if you want to sit outside. The happy hour schedule is similar to the other locations, but, as is often the case with Kansas and alcohol, it’s not quite as good as in Missouri.
