Join the Kansas City Chapter of the National Black United Front in celebrating the Kwanzaa at the historic Gem Theater from December 26, 2016 – January 1, 2017. This multi-day event is free and open to the public.
The first 6 nights of Kwanzaa is hosted by local community organizations who highlight the principles of Kwanzaa with unique performances, speakers, and talent from 6-9 p.m.
The last day of Kwanzaa will be celebrated with a Karamu feast on January 1, 2017, at 3 p.m., at the Nefertiti Ballroom.
The Gem Theater is located at 1615 East 18th Street in Kansas City, Missouri. The Nefertiti Ballroom is located at 1314 Quindaro Boulevard in Kansas City, Kansas.
