The beloved hole-in-the-wall serving authentic Kansas City BBQ from one location that has bars in the windows, a handful of tables, and the best BBQ rub in town (according to me, but I said what I said). A favorite of Kansas City Mayor Quentin Lucas and the Kansas City Chief’s Wide Receiver Rashee Rice — LC’s BBQ is Kansas City BBQ — simple, succulent, and some of the best meat in the world. It seems inevitable that this culinary great would eventually face one of the most popular BBQ joints in town — Joe’s Kansas City BBQ. With three locations plus an event space, what started in a gas station has become the first stop on every Kansas City visitor’s tour of the BBQ Capital of the World. And I mean, c’mon? The Z-Man. You haven’t lived if you haven’t tried it. The praises of Joe’s Kansas City BBQ have been sung by Kansas City heroes as illustrious as Travis Kelce on a stage as enormous as The New Height’s Podcast.
