From 2021: Veterans Day is this Thursday and Bamboo Penny’s, a Thai restaurant in Leawood’s Park Place center, is honoring the day by offering all veterans and active military 50% off any lunch or dinner entrée when they show their military ID. Good for dine-in only on Nov. 11.
BIBIBOP Asian Grill
No deal confirmed yet for 2022. From 2021: BIBIBOP Asian Grill is grateful for those who serve our country! Callsign Brewery in North Kansas City is treating all Veterans to $2 off all craft beers purchased on November 11.

Texas Roadhouse
No deal confirmed yet for 2022. From 2021: Texas Roadhouse will honor veterans and active military with a special “drive-up” giveaway on Veterans Day. On Nov. 11, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., the restaurant will distribute meal vouchers in the parking lot. The voucher is valid is through May 30, 2022 and can be redeemed for a FREE entrée from a select menu. The event is drive-thru only. However, vouchers can be redeemed, when the restaurant is open for dinner.
Torchy’s Tacos
Veterans and active U.S. military members can spice up Veterans Day at Torchy’s Tacos. The fast-casual taco chain is offering any taco on the menu for FREE as well as their choice of a FREE fountain drink or iced tea.
The offer is only available for dine-in and pick-up orders placed by phone or in-person – online or deliver orders are excluded. Must present military ID or proof of service.

Travel Centers of America
Travel Centers of America continue its tradition of inviting all active-duty military, veterans and reservists to enjoy a FREE dine-in meal on Veterans Day November 11 at company-owned quick-service and full-service restaurants nationwide. Proof of military service needed to redeem the offer.
Travel Centers of America is also teaming up with Mobil Delvac to donate $50,000 to Folds of Honor for educational scholarships to children and spouses of fallen and disabled American military service members and first responders.
The chain is also launching a Round Up campaign. From November 1-30, 2022, guests at participating TA, Petro and TA Express locations have the opportunity to round up their purchase to the nearest dollar, with the difference being donated directly to Special Operators Transition Foundation. This group assists SOTF veterans with transition from military service to a new career.
Twin Peaks Restaurant
For Veterans Day, Twin Peaks is offering a complimentary Veterans Day Lunch from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Village Inn
Veterans and active military can enjoy a FREE 2-2-2 Breakfast anytime of day at Village Inn on November 11.

The Wendy’s family consists of many veterans, including its very own founder, Dave Thomas, who was a veteran himself when he opened the first Wendy’s restaurant.
To thank all of those who have served or are currently serving in the U.S. Military, the popular fast-food restaurant is offering them a FREE any size breakfast combo — during breakfast hours on November 11. Valid military ID or Veterans Advantage card needs to be presented when ordering.
Most Wendy’s locations serve breakfast from 6:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. but we recommend confirming before you head out to claim the offer.
Wolfepack BBQ
On November 11, all Veterans receive 15% off their total bill at Wolfepack BBQ in North Kansas City inside Callsign Brewing, 1340 Burlington Street.

2022 Kansas City Veterans Day Attractions & Service Discounts & Freebies
The following attractions, businesses and entertainment venues are offering deals and freebies on Veterans Day.
Kansas City West Bottoms Haunted Houses
Many brave souls make their way through Kansas City’s West Bottoms District of haunted attractions: The Beast, Edge of Hell, and Macabre Cinema throughout the Halloween season. For the final weekend, half-price admission is offered to everyone (all souls) as a salute to our nation’s U.S. veterans, healthcare workers and first responders.
The Beast and Edge of Hell open on both nights at 7:30 p.m. Macabre Cinema opens for encore shows on both evenings at 8 p.m.
Admission ranges from $17.50 up to $75 for a variety of options, including VIP entry and combo haunts.
It’s recommended you get there before 10 p.m. because once the line goes through, these nationally acclaimed haunted houses in Kansas City close until next year.
Bed Bath & Beyond
No deal confirmed yet for 2022. From 2021: Vets can stock up on savings at Bed Bath & Beyond for Veterans Day. From Nov. 11 to 13, the popular big box retailer is hosting its “U.S. Armed Forces Appreciation Event” — save 25% on an entire purchase online or in-store.
Dollar General
In honor of Veterans Day, Dollar General is offering an exclusive 20% in-store discount for four days (November 10 – 13, 2022) on qualifying, in-store purchases.
Eligible customers should first complete a military credential verification process online and then add the discount as a DG Digital Coupon.
The 2022 Veterans Day promotion joins an ongoing 11% discount to the military community and their families, which is offered the second Wednesday each month of the year.
Goodyear Auto Service
This Veterans Day season, Goodyear Auto Service invites the U.S. military and first responder communities to enjoy special discounts at locations in Kansas City and nationwide, as well as take advantage of the free car care checks currently being offered.
All active, former and retired military members and first responders are encouraged to take advantage of Goodyear’s FREE inspections on tires, brakes and batteries, and will receive an additional 10% off tires and services.
Eligible guests who present a valid ID can schedule car care check appointments between November 10-14, 2022 and redeem service through November 17, 2022.
Grace for Vets Car Wash
Grace for Vets is coordinating a FREE car wash for Veterans and military personnel on November 11.

This annual promotion gives FREE haircuts (normally priced around $20) to veterans and active military members, as well as a way for civilians to thank a military hero they know.

All U.S. veterans get FREE admission to the Kansas City Automotive Museum on Friday, November 11. This is a savings of $8.

Missouri State Parks
To show appreciation to all veterans and active-duty military members the Missouri State Parks program is offering two promotions for Veterans Day.
Camping: Eligible visitors camping at a Missouri State Parks campground on Friday, November 11, 2022, receive a voucher for a FREE night of camping. The veteran must be staying the night of Friday November 11, and show identification of veteran/active-duty military status at check-in to receive a free camping coupon. Missouri State Parks will accept several types of identification.
Tours: Veterans and active military members are also invited on free tours of Missouri state historic sites Friday, November 11 – 13, 2022 with valid identification. Check mostateparks.com for a list of sites and current hours.
National Parks
National Parks: Veterans Day, November 11, is the last of the Free Entrance Days at National Parks throughout the country for 2022.
The FREE admission deal is not limited to veterans; the National Park Service invites all visitors to remember our veterans by visiting any National Park Service site for free on Veterans Day.
Olathe Community Center
While many Olathe city facilities are closed on Veterans Day, the Olathe Community Center is open for regular business hours November 11. Military personnel are welcome to visit the Community Center FREE with ID.

Pharaoh Cinema 4
For four decades, the Pharaoh Cinema 4 in Independence has offered big screen entertainment. On Friday, November 11, veterans and active duty military get FREE admission to a movie as thanks for their service to our country.

Regal Cinemas

From 2021: Everyone can honor Veterans Day by seeing one of the most critically-acclaimed military movies in recent years, American Sniper, on Nov. 11 at Regal Cinemas. Sport Clips is doing double duty to support our nations heroes on Veterans Day in 2022.

To celebrate the service and commitment of the nation’s military and honor the men and women who serve the country, Walgreens offers a four-day in-store discount to all veterans and active duty military personnel as well as their family members.
On Friday, November 11 through Monday, November 14, veterans, military and their families receive 20% off regular price eligible store items at any Walgreens drugstore nationwide. A myWalgreens membership is requred.
Some items, including alcohol, newspapers, etc. are excluded from the offer. Ask in store for specifics.
Westlake ACE Hardware
Westlake ACE Hardware stores offers a single complimentary knife sharpening with ReSharp November 10 – 13 in stores. Just present military ID or documentation for the freebie.

I found most restaurants are willing participants when it comes to Veterans. Don’t for get your idea card, though I’ve found that is you have some proof of service, I use my Honorable Discharge certificate, they will serve you the free meal.
Anytime during the year, ask if they have discounts for vets, most do. I’m also a senior so I ask if I can blend them…LOL… unfortunately no one has done that yet, but I keep trying.

CB Daddy: Many states will add it to your driver’s license if you bring in your DD214 to the Drivers License Bureau. Kansas does, It is all yo need at places like Bass Pro and Home Depot for mil discounts.
