Teachers are unsung heroes who work hard, often for little pay.
While we should appreciate them every day of the year, National Teacher Appreciation Week (the first full week of May) and Teacher Appreciation Day (the first Tuesday in May) are official times to offer thanks and appreciation to our nation’s educators.
Several Kansas City area restaurants and businesses are offering discounts and freebies to teachers. Some of these deals are good all year long. Most will require some sort of educator ID. (educator ID required).
Be sure to follow the links and read the fine print. If the offer is coming from a chain, it’s a good idea to double-check that a local store is participating. Check back because we’ll be updating as we find new ones.
be sure to review our list of discounts for teachers available all year long.
