The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office and Love Fund for Kids is hosting a Back to School Bash from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 10 at Silverstein Eye Centers Arena to assist families and students getting ready for a successful school year.
The event is FREE and open to the public. Attendees do not have to live in Jackson County, MO to attend. The event includes:
- School supply and backpack giveaways for students K-5 – A child must be present at the event to receive the school supplies
- Immunizations for middle school and high school students – no cost at the time of service but please bring insurance cards
- FREE haircuts
- Agency fair – offering services to help families be “back to school ready”
- Entertainment

School Supply Donations
School supply donations for the Back to School Bash are encouraged. Here is a list of needed items.
You can drop off donations from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 2 at the following Walmart locations. Staff from the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office will be on site to collect them.
