Where to get them: Pigwich (open 11 a.m. – 6:45 p.m.)
Handcrafted sandwiches from locally sourced ingredients. Generous portions, menu staples, and rotating specials give repeat customers something new to look forward to. Featured on Diners, Drive-In’s, and Dives with Coach Andy Reid of the Kansas City Chiefs, this local favorite located in the Downtown Historic River Market area is a crowd pleaser.

6. Full Plate Biscuits & Gravy $9.99 (All day, every day)

Looking for some soul food. Try the warm, fluffy, award-winning loaded biscuits and gravy at Big Biscuit served with choice of potatoes or grits. Known for fast, friendly service even when it’s busy. With a full menu with both adult and kid-friendly choices.

KC is known as “Chiefs Kingdom”. Wiener Kitchen is known as the “Sausage Kingdom”. Made with high-quality ingredients and offering traditional and bold flavor combinations.
Big flavors, from a small space. Shop their selection of fresh sausages to cook up at home. Open Wednesdays – Saturdays until 2 p.m. Gluten-free buns available for $1.50 extra.
8. Pork Tenderloin Sandwich $11.55 (all day, everyday)
Where to get them: Christy’s Tasty Queen (1405 S. 55th KCK 66106)
Want a no-frills atmosphere that adds to your deals, try the giant pork tenderloin or other “tasty” treats at Christy’s Tasty Queen. A nostalgic take-out style diner where you order and eat in your car, because you can’t wait to eat, or take it home to share.
This delicious sandwich has been served up for 40 years and hopefully for at least 40 more!
Try a large, creamy shake for dessert. Plan your visit during the week M-F, 10-6p.m. They are so good that they don’t need to be open on the weekends.
