Celebrate delicious sandwiches all around Kansas City during Sandwich Week presented by The Pitch KC May 17-23.
For seven days, several local restaurants are offering grilled cheese, classic hoagies, or some other unique stacked combination for half price.
Participating Sandwich Week Restaurants include:
Lew’s Grill and Bar (Waldo): Slow-smoked pulled pork with fried pickles, bacon, chedder and smoked Gouda on a brioche bun.
McGuire’s Tavern (Overland Park): corned beef with melted Swiss, Thousand Island dressing, and sauerkraut, piled onto marbled rye.
Mixing Bowl (Kansas City, MO): A club sandwich with Three pieces of homemade sourdough bread, turkey, ham, lettuce, tomato, provolone, and American cheese.
Mr. Brews Taphouse (Overland Park): A beef patty served on a Parmesan garlic dusted bun with Havarti cheese, house-made tomato bruschetta, topped with basil pesto mayo. You can sub chicken if you prefer. They also offer a gluten free bun or vegan protein for a small upcharge.
Pig & Finch (Leawood): Slow-roasted pork sandwich on a brioche bun with aji Amarillo aioli, pickled red cabbage, and sliced avocado.
Strips Chicken (Olathe): Pretzel-breaded chicken strips, secret sauce, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, and cheese on a local Roma brioche bun. Sub Crispy Nuggets and a gluten-free bun for the same price.
Trago Bar & Tapas (Kansas City, MO): slow braised seasoned pork topped with thin slices of smoked ham, house-made dill pickles, a fresh herb chimichurri, and grain mustard, all pressed on a soft hoagie bun
The Well (Kansas City, MO): Breaded and fried pork loin tossed in wing sauce with bleu cheese dressing, lettuce, and tomato on a brioche bun.
The Wooden Spoon (Overland Park): Falafel Patty made with fresh herbs layered with onions, tomato, heritage spring mix, and homemade Harissa aioli served on a pretzel bun.
