Zafar Salon, Spa & Boutique is launching “Zafar’s Women in the City,” a program to recognize local women in leadership and philanthropic roles. Each monthly event will honor one extraordinary woman.
The first event will be Friday, February 19, 2010, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Zafar in the Kansas City Power & Light District. The event is free and open to the public. Zafar will recognize former Mayor Kay Barnes as Zafar’s Extraordinary Woman, and offer a variety of free mini facials, manicures, massages and more. You can also bid on items during a silent auction. All proceeds will go to the Women’s Political Caucus of Kansas City.
